Project Overview

The real challenge with this install was time. Work had to be completed over a single weekend to not compromise the use of the sorting facility. Gatepower had from 7am on the Saturday to 5pm the following Sunday.

The first installation day was comprised of removal of the old gate system and installation of the new Dual tunnel posts and Cantilever gates. The site was then secure overnight. We returned on the Sunday to install and commission the motors and accessories. We had to re-wire all the existing access control, installed new photocell sensors, flashing LED warning lights and ensured the system was fully operational.

Why was Gatepower chosen to complete this job

Gatepower has completed other industrial traffic and safety automation projects for the main contractor, Ascot Group. Gatepower had the ability to fully manufacture this job and install at the speed required by the customer. Other companies had been approached and could not get the job done in the required timeframe.

Custom Access Control

Gatepower had to eliminate all obsolete hardware with some site testing, and wire in the relevant access control system.

Commercial Dual Sliding Cantilever Gate Installation

Cantilever gates are ideal for high traffic areas where traditional floor track can get in the way, and come loose over time with high usage areas. Cantilever gates 'hover' over the entrance. The gate is counterbalanced away from the entrance meaning no floor track required.

Cantilever gates are the go to solution for high security entrances. They can not be lifted, and are made with heavy duty large frames to ensure the gates do not sag.
